Terms of service
Short, and meant to be read before you pay rather than after.
1. What you are buying
Access to a question bank and practice tools for general surgery examinations. You are buying revision material, not tuition, not certification, not a qualification, and not a prediction of your result.
A subscription here does not include SurgicalBoardsQA, which is billed separately.
2. No guarantee of passing
No preparation material can guarantee an examination result, and this one does not. Pass rates quoted anywhere on this site describe the examinations themselves, taken from the examining bodies’ own published figures. They are not claims about users of this product.
3. Account
One account, one person. Sharing credentials, or using one subscription to serve a group, ends the subscription without refund. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
4. Payment, renewal and refunds
Prices are shown before payment and set by the country of your card; see Pricing. Payment is taken by Stripe.
Right of withdrawal. As a consumer in the EU you have fourteen days to withdraw. Because this is digital content supplied immediately, that right is lost once you start using the bank, and you are asked to acknowledge this at checkout — Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, Articles 102 and 103(m).
Beyond that: if the product does not work as described, write and it will be refunded. A subscription cancelled mid-term runs to the end of the period already paid for and is not renewed.
5. What you may not do
Do not copy, republish, resell or redistribute the questions or explanations. Do not scrape the site or extract the bank by automated means. Do not use the material to build or train a competing product or a language model.
Do not submit remembered examination questions to the operator. They will not be used, and offering them puts you in breach of your own examination body’s rules.
6. Intellectual property
All content belongs to the operator. Your subscription is a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own revision for as long as the subscription lasts. Nothing is assigned to you.
7. Clinical limits and liability
The material is educational and simplified for examination purposes. It is not clinical guidance and must never be used to make a decision about a real patient. See the medical disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.
To the fullest extent Spanish law permits, liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud — those cannot be excluded and are not.
8. Ending the agreement
You may close your account at any time. The operator may suspend an account that breaches section 5, refunding the unused part of the period unless the breach was redistribution of the content.
9. Law and contact
Spanish law governs these terms; the courts of Madrid have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rules that let a consumer sue in their own country. EU consumers may also use the online dispute resolution platform.
